31 Days of Prophetic Encouragement

Updated: Aug 19, 2023

Prophetic Words to Encourage You

As we step into July, we are officially halfway through the year! I've felt a prompting that it's time to press in to hear what God is saying this month to set us on a trajectory for the rest of 2021. This word I am sharing today will be the introduction to my 31 days of prophetic encouragement for the month of July! Over the next few weeks, I will share encouraging words on my blog and social media pages.

And so the Adventure Begins

"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere! I want it more than I can tell..." - Belle, Beauty and the Beast

What kind of things come to your mind when you hear the word adventure? Wild. Uncharted. Mountains. Cliff Diving. Maps. Waterfalls. Risk. Excitement. Life. Life with Jesus is a grand adventure. He calls us and simply says, "Follow Me!" We usually don't know what we are getting into. BUT we can be certain that his plans are far more exciting and daring and fulfilling than our own. Don't you want to know what his plans are? I do! A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life,

but only the designs of God’s purpose will succeed in the end. Proverbs 19:21

My Prophetic Journey

First, I want to share a little journey God has had me on this year. Every year on my birthday, I ask the Lord for a special word. It's kind of like getting a gift from a Father. I expect Him to give me something. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 NIV On the morning of my birthday, I stood looking at my bookshelf. Sometimes, God will tell me to open up a random book and speak to me from the page. I know that may seem unorthodox to some, but this is the kind of friendship and history I have built with my Friend. On this day, however, I wasn't feeling too hopeful. I looked at the shelf and didn't see a book standing out to me. I ended up grabbing a blank journal that's been sitting there for a few years, untouched. The cover had colorful hot air balloons on it and read, "And so the adventure begins" I saw the words, and much like how Sarah laughed when God told her she would bear a son, I laughed to myself. "Well God, it doesn't feel like my adventure is beginning. I feel like I am still waiting." You see, God had spoken to me about a year before in a significant prophetic dream about my calling and destiny through the phrase "adventure awaits." But nothing seemed to have changed over the whole year. When will the wait ever end? (P.S. Are you in a season of waiting? This is one of my FAVORITE worship songs to find hope in the wait!) I put the book back on the shelf and left to go to a coffee shop, feeling like God didn't give me the word I was looking for. Later that day, two of my best friends, Katherine and Emily, came over to celebrate my birthday with gifts. (I have to confess that gifts are in my top 2 love languages - and these friends know how to give good ones.) I started digging through Katherine's gift bag for me, and pulled out a cute, decorative kitchen towel that said, to my SHOCK, "And so the adventure begins" The exact phrasing of the journal I found earlier. Wonder filled me as I realized God had given me a beautiful, specific word. As usual with God, His word to me was a mystery. But the kind of mystery that invites me to exploration. It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them. Proverbs 25:2 As I have talked to God about it, he has shown me that He is beginning a beautiful adventure in my life of officially launching me into ministry. It's time to start the ministry that He is calling me to! I am so excited to share this with you, as it is the definition of adventure. I have taken some steps to get started: I launched a prophetic mentorship for women and I've held a few workshops on the prophetic gifting and dream interpretation. 31 days of encouragement is my next "Yes" to the adventure. There is so much preparation God has done in me to lead me to this point - but there is also so much I don't know. So many ways I don't feel ready. But I know this is an adventure I must say YES to. I am trusting Jesus will guide me as I follow him along the way. I can't wait to share more with you in the coming days and weeks and months as God begins to do what only He can do with my "yes." What will He do with yours?

The Next 30 Days of Adventure

We don't always feel ready when God calls us. We must let go of the things that hold us back like: Fear, doubt, procrastination, perfectionism, comparison (to name a few.) But now is the time for adventure. Even if it's just one step at a time.

I hope you'll follow along over the next 31 days as I share prophetic encouragement to help you grow in your purpose, thrive in your calling, and deepen your walk with Jesus!
