Prophetic Word 2026 - The King is in the Field
It’s time to find that the King of kings, Jesus, is meeting us in the fields of our lives.
I would love to share some prophetic encouragement and insight with you from the Hebrew calendar and how it applies to us today as followers of Jesus.
Prophetic Insight from Elul: Audience with the King
The month of Elul has begun on the Jewish calendar. This year, it began in August and ends September 11, 2026.
The month of Elul paints a prophetic picture that "the king is in the field."
In biblical times, the king would leave his throne once a year during Elul to come and be with the people in the field. Any other time, one needed to be called by the king himself if they wanted to have an audience with him.
This was a prophetic picture of how one day the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, would leave His throne and get up close and personal with his people! We now have access to approach His throne at any time of day or night.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16
Jesus is the beautiful prophetic fulfillment of the month of Elul. He is Emmanuel; God WITH us! He wants a personal audience with you.
Prophetic Insight: Preparing for a New Season
Elul is also the final month of the Hebrew year before we enter the head of the year, Rosh Hashanah.
This is also a reflective time to review our past year and thank God for what He has done, assess areas that need repentance or change, and dream for the future ahead.
I also like to think of this reflection time in context of Jesus' description of the Gardener and Vine in John 15.
Where is God being a Gardener in your life? What is He tending to? What is He growing? What is He sowing? What is He pruning in your life to make you more fruitful in the time to come?
This year, Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Friday, September 11, 2026, and ends at nightfall on Sunday, September 13, 2026
During this season leading into the fall, it's time to draw near to God and expect Him to draw near to you. It's time to discover what Jesus is doing in the fields of your life—
In the fields of your calling and purpose, your relationships and family, your finances and provision, your spiritual life with Him, your hopes and dreams, and so much more.
Come near to God and he will come near to you. James 4:8
The King wants a personal audience with YOU.
You are His beloved, His chosen one, and He wants to encounter you in the deep places of your heart and prepare you for what's to come.
Prophetic Encouragement: I hear the Lord say...
I heard the Lord say,
"I am the King in your field! I have already drawn near to you, will you draw near to Me?
I am a Kind King, and I am inviting you into the field with Me to come and see what is now growing. Seeds that once died are now springing up. Fruit you forgot you planted, I have been watching over—it is now blooming into view. Do not look any longer at the things I pruned away, the branches that have been collected in a pile to be burned in the fire.
New branches are beginning to grow—and I tell you, it is safe to “branch out.”
The pruning back of your branches, certain areas of aspects of your life, may have made you feel like you must stay small. but I tell you that greater growth is coming.
Come and walk through the fruit orchards with me again, and I will show you what’s now growing from what was pruned way back.
I prune you now because I see the fruitfulness I have called you to in a latter season. See with my eyes to see how much you will BLOOM ahead! I don’t mind reminding you of what I’ve said (hope), who I am (faithful), and who you are (loved.) I have GOOD plans for you—and your unmet expectations, your mistakes and detours, will not change the good plans I have coming in this season.
I have not given up on your fields that look “dormant” they are only sleeping.
I am expanding your territory into new fields you have not yet tilled.
This is not an ending, but a new beginning.
Where the enemy keeps trying to say stop building, planting, and preparing, there’s nothing ahead ... I am telling you the opposite.
And I will teach you again to build from a place of rest and trust in Me —that the light will return to you, that you will feel the inspiration of the Holy Spirit igniting you in a fresh way to enter a new season with joy and not foreboding.
I will send the new rains to your fields, where there has only been a draught.
The draught is drying up—do you have faith to buy an umbrella before you hear the rain? Do you see the cloud the size of a man's hand? This is why you prepare in faith for what I have spoken to you—when it doesn't yet make sense to the logical mind.
Like I told Noah to build before the rain started, will you move forward in action and in faith into what I am calling you to?
As you reflect on this past season, this past year, be kind to yourself.
Some things may have turned out differently than your expectations.
Some decisions you’ve made may not have yielded the fruit you wanted, or the outcome you expected.
I am with you, still, even in the different path we have taken.
You are turning a new corner, and I want to show you that so much better is ahead.
I am stepping into your situation as the King in your field. This is divine intervention. You are not meant to carry the burden of worry and fear of the future, wondering how you will handle everything alone. I am the King in your field, and I am going to show you I am working your situation out. I am moving mountains on your behalf.
I am your King, Provider, Husband, and Friend.
Do not write nor plan the future without Me in it—I am coming through for you, going before you, and making a way where there was no way.
I have so much more to show you ... will you come into the secret place to receive My heart for you?
Will you turn off the screens and turn down the volume so you can tune into the frequency of Heaven?
I have more in store for you, and I want to show you more of what is to come.
I delight to lead you.
Change out of your mourning clothes and clothes of a season that no longer fit,
and dress for a party.
Do you feel the excitement of fall? Just like autumn leaves falling to the ground, the old things are falling away to make room for the new.
Maybe your plans did not come to pass
the way you imagined—
but as you come close to ME again, you'll find I had a better plan all along.
It's time to make room for the new.
Come and find Me, for I am the King of kings in your field.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
