Wonders in the Wilderness | Prophetic Word of Encouragement 2026 | Feast of Tabernacles 5787
God is with you in the wilderness.
He is still the Cloud by Day and the Fire by Night—the One who still provides the daily miracle of manna we need.
Jesus IS our Manna sent from Heaven. He is our bread of life. (John 6)
This is our reminder as we come into this beautiful fall biblical feast—the Feast of Tabernacles.
I want to share prophetic encouragement with you today connected to the Feast of Tabernacles, the Feast of Tents, or the Feast of Booths.

Biblical Insight: The Feast of Tabernacles
We are in a biblical feast time of celebration with the Feast of Tabernacles.
This year, it begins Friday, September 25, at sundown and ends at nightfall Sunday, October 2, 2026.
This is a time to remember how the Israelites dwelt in tents in the wilderness—and how God faithfully led them and provided for them.
Sukkot is connected with JOY. In fact, Deuteronomy commands Israel to rejoice during this feast:
“And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.”— Deuteronomy 16:15
They rejoiced for seven days, one whole week. Seven, representing completion and rest. After a time of reflection, repentance, and returning with the ten Days of Awe, it's now time to celebrate the faithfulness of God and enter into His rest.

God Tabernacled Among Us
We can find our beautiful Messiah, King Yeshua, in the Feast of Tabernacles.
He is the Living God, Emmanuel, who has tabernacled among us. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:41
Jesus is the living manna sent from heaven:
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” John 6:51
He is our sustaining life! And in Revelation, we see this beautiful picture of our King Jesus:
“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people…” Revelation 21:3
When in the Wilderness
Sometimes we can find ourselves in a spiritual wilderness of sorts.
Although it can be hard to see clearly when we feel like we are wandering in a spiritual desert, we are preparing for God's purposes.
In these times, we can celebrate that Yahweh is with us in the desert seasons while knowing the wilderness is not forever.
At the right time, we will cross the Jordan River, the threshold into the promised land. But we can't skip over the treasures—the invaluable lessons—the wilderness teaches us. God uses the wilderness to show us His nearness.
He uses wildernesses in our lives to prepare us for His purposes.
He is with us in the wilderness times...
and we can find joy in the journey with Him.
But before we talk more about the joy of the journey, I want to talk about a reality of the wilderness seasons...
God Will Meet You in Your Disappointment
The wilderness seasons can be disappointing.
Sometimes it can feel like we are wandering in endless circles—only to experience test after test ... that leads to another circle around the block.
Shouldn't I be there by now? Will I ever reach the promised land? Will I ever get to taste the milk and honey promised to me? Or, in plainer terms ....
Will my situation ever change for the better?
Will God's plans come to pass in my life?
Will I ever see God's promises come to pass in my life?
Sometimes, in our walk with God, especially when we walk with Him in the prophetic journey of listening for His voice, we can encounter another layer of deeper disappointment.
Maybe we feel like God has given us prophetic vision—a glimpse of the promises he has for us ahead. But on that journey, our hearts can grow weary and numb.
We encounter disappointment when God's timing doesn't match our timeline.
When the battle for His promise almost takes us out.
When we almost step into the promise, and we are swept away by an unexpected current and find ourselves back at square one.
When it seems like what God said will never happen. When it seems like God's word isn't coming to pass.
And worse ... when the promise is put on the altar and isn't given back this time...
The promise as we knew it or expected it is burned up.
Totally surrendered.
Friend, if these words resonate with you at all, you're not alone.
I have found myself there before, and I have learned that the prophetic, or hearing from God, does not eliminate disappointment. It doesn't get rid of life's difficulties or the sin of a fallen world God sent His Son to redeem. It certainly does not remove the suffering that is part of the journey...
When the fire of the furnace of life heats up, we may be tempted to think: It almost would have been better if we hadn't heard from the Lord at all ... then my hopes wouldn't have gotten so high to come crashing down.
This reminds me of the Israelites in their own wilderness journey longing to have stayed in Egypt, the land of their enslavement. Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!” Exodus 14:12
But my friends, I want to encourage you. Walking in deep intimacy with Jesus and learning and knowing His voice is always worth the narrow, hard path. While it may seem like a hard journey, God is still that faithful Cloud by Day and Fire by Night.
As you keep choosing to follow Jesus, He will lead you forward into beautiful promises beyond what you can imagine... (Ephesians 3:20). And it may be bigger and more than you expect.
Even if you feel like the promises of God are impossible or over,
He still has beautiful surprises in store for you.
And it's okay if that's hard to imagine right now.
Even if you're in a wilderness right now, He will meet you where you are. He will speak tenderly to you.
He will make your valley of trouble a door of hope again.
He will show you wonders in the wilderness.
He will be faithful to you... for that is all He knows how to be.
It's His nature. “Therefore I am now going to allure her;
I will lead her into the wilderness
and speak tenderly to her.
15 There I will give her back her vineyards,
and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope.
There she will respond as in the days of her youth,
as in the day she came up out of Egypt. Hosea 2:14-15
Remember Yahweh
So, during this special season, remember His faithfulness.
Think of a time God came through for you, and thank Him for what He did then and praise Him for what He has yet to do.
And if you're struggling to remember Yahweh,
open the pages of the Living Word...
Read how God's presence led the Israelites by fire and cloud.
Read about how the people finally entered the promised land in the book of Joshua. Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true. Joshua 21:45
He is not just a Promise-Making God, but a Promise-Keeping God.
He will be faithful to bring to pass His beautiful, intricate, fulfilling plans for you.
And even before you arrive at your promised land, you can find joy in the journey.
Right here. Right now. Today.
For Jesus is with you, and He will astound you with His wonders in the wilderness.
Prophetic Word of Encouragement: The Faithful Lion of Judah
As I stay up to finish writing this word at a late hour, I have felt the nearness and tenderness of the Lord for those who will read this.
As I asked the Lord what he wanted to say, and whether the Holy Spirit had any encouragement, I didn't hear much.
But I saw a picture of a lion, like the Lion of Judah.
He has a fierceness in his gaze, and he is "lying in wait."
As though ready to launch forward at any moment.
He is on the move.
And this thought resonates in my heart, as I sense the fear of the Lord.
"I am still the faithful Lion of Judah. I Am who I Am."
Remember who He is— Faithful.
God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM.' Exodus 3:14
The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Therefore the Lord waits [expectantly] and longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed (happy, fortunate) are all those who long for Him [since He will never fail them]. Isaiah 30:18
A Prayer For You
I pray that in this season, you would remember and experience His faithfulness. He is the same God who was faithful in the wilderness, and He will be faithful to you today. I pray you have a testimony to pass down of how God met you and brought you through the wilderness. I pray you would be filled with great joy during this season of remembrance! God bless you!
